Chichen Itza – Valladovid - Cenote Dzinup

World Wonder Discovery is the heart of Mexican Kan Tours. For its director, the archeological site of Chichén Itzá is his career, as well as the theme of his thesis at university.

Recently selected as one of the official wonders of the world, Chichén Itzá is the most famous archeological site on the Yucatan peninsula and surely that of Mesoamerica as well. The excellent reconstruction of this site from the ruins of the ancient city makes this a “must-see” destination for the visitor to the Yucatan peninsula. Chichén Itzá is an impressive example of the cultural exchange between the mexicanas of the North and the Mayans.

Chichén Itzá is located just outside of Valladolid, a colonial city that has preserved the tranquil atmosphere traditionally found in this region; the perfect place that Kan Tours offers as a rest stop after the visit to the ruins. Also close to Valladolid, there are many cenotes you can visit, such as the cenote in a cave “Dzinup”, another natural marvel. Its calcium formations reflect in the crystal-clear water, a spectacular vision that you won’t forget!

Our Advice

We recommend that clients bring their bathing suit (those that wish to swim in the cenote), sun glasses, a towel, sun screen, insect repellant, their camera and cash, as in this area you can not find ATM machines, nor do any of the vendors accept credit cards. The guides appreciate tips for great service, and you are sure to leave with great memories. We do not accept credit cards.
